For nearly three years now, I’ve been living a “laptop lifestyle”. I literally work anywhere I want as long as I have my laptop 👩💻 and WiFi.
What I’ve learned is that many people are curious about how entrepreneurial digital nomads live and work in an untethered lifestyle.
Then, there’s the other extreme—people who have created a fantasized version of what life is like when you can work from anywhere.
Truth be told, I was more like the latter group before I embarked on this fantastic journey.
The Corona Virus (COVID19) has been claimed as an international pandemic. It has created mandatory shutdowns of governments, schools, and cities around the world.
In the state of Maryland, where I live, the Governor has announced precautionary measures that are being implemented as I write this.
In the coming days and weeks, many businesses will be encouraging people to work from home.
I personally believe that there will be a national quarantine for a period of two weeks minimum.
More importantly, this will force companies, schools, churches, government agencies, and more to evaluate if they are truly able to step into the 21st-century ability to use technology at it’s finest.
It will also give many people the opportunity to live the life that they’ve secretly been dreaming about… the work in PJs, bedhead, no make-up, laptop lifestyle.
So, here’s your guide to many of the apps that my peers and I use to live the laptop lifestyle every day. They can help make your life easier and untethered too. My favorites are marked with this 🙌🏽 emoji.
